Easy and Delicious Drunken Alaskan King Crab Legs

Ingredients

  1. 3lbs Alaskan King Crab Meat, Thawed and Cut into Sections
  2. 2 Tablespoon Olive Oil
  3. 3 Tablespoon Butter
  4. 1 Cup White Wine
  5. 4 Cloves of Garlic, Minced
  6. 1 Shallot Minced
  7. 1 Bay Leaf
  8. 1 Lemon, Zested and Sliced into wedges
  9. 1⁄2 Teaspoon Old Bay Seasoning or Salt and Red Pepper Flakes

Directions

In an extra large heavy bottomed pot melt butter with olive oil on medium heat, add minced garlic and shallots and cook until tender and slightly caramelized. Next, add and combine white wine, lemon wedges, bay leaf and spice to the large pot and let simmer slightly on medium high heat for 3-4 minutes. Turning the pot to medium low heat, add Alaskan King Crab Legs and cover for 10 minutes, turning occasionally to baste. Remove and transfer to serving platter spooning broth and lemon wedges, top with optional additional melted butter and lemon zest and serve alongside fresh bakery rolls and seasonal herb salad!
