Ingredients:

  1. 3 Pounds Canadian Prime Angus Beef Tips, Thawed , At Room Temperature
  2. 3 Tablespoon Vegetable Oil
  3. 2 Cups Low Sodium Beef Broth
  4. 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire
  5. 1 Teaspoon Each Seasoning Salt ( Old Bay ), Italian Seasoning, Dried Thyme, Onion Powder, Cracked Black Pepper
  6. 1 Cup White Onion, Diced
  7. 1 Tablespoon Garlic, Minced
  8. 1 Bay Leaf
  9. Slurry of 3 Tablespoon Water + 2 Tablespoon Cornstarch

Directions :

After allowing your Candian Prime Angus Beef Tips to thaw and come to room temperature, heat a large cast iron skillet to medium high heat and add 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil, Season your beef tips with salt and black pepper in a large bowl . You will need to brown the beef tips in batches as its best to allow room between each tip to get a good golden brown color. Place first round of beef tips into hot oil and allow to cook and brown slightly before turning each side to get a nice color on each piece, when browned use a slotted spoon to remove the beef from pan and transfer into your slow cooker, continue in small batches until all beef tips are browned and placed into your slow cooker. Continue by adding beef broth, worcestershire sauce, diced onion and garlic as well as your seasonings over the top and tuck in a bay leaf, cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours until beef is fork tender. Before serving, add a slurry of water and cornstarch mixture then stir softly into beef mixture and cook on low for an additional 10-15 minutes to allow sauce to thicken. Remove bay leaf from pot and serve over mashed potatoes or egg noodles for the perfect comfort meal! Enjoy!
