Grilled Ontario Pork Chops with Caramelized Peaches

Our moist Ontario raised, grain fed pork chops are just a bit lean with an outside trim of natural fat, this 8oz chop is perfect for this incredible recipe made to pair some of our favorite local flavors. These perfectly tender pork chops alongside mouth watering caramelized peaches with notes of maple syrup and the acidic bite of balsamic this is a delicious summer evening recipe that comes together incredibly quick on the BBQ.

Ingredients :

  1. 4 8oz Bolton Foods, Frenched Bone Pork Chops
  2. 2 Tablespoon Olive Oil, Plus more for Brushing
  3. 3 Ripe Peaches, Quartered
  4. 3 Tablespoon Maple Syrup
  5. 1 Tablespoon Brown Sugar
  6. 2 Tablespoon High Quality Balsamic Vinegar Glaze
  7. Kosher Salt and Freshly Ground Black Pepper
  8. Fresh Basic Leaves for Garnish, Roughly Chopped

Directions

Begin by allowing your Bolton Foods Frenched Bone pork chops to come to room temperature in a shallow dish. Follow by brushing the chops lightly with olive oil and generously season both sides with kosher salt and fresh cracked pepper. In a separate bowl bring together brown sugar, maple syrup, olive oil, salt, pepper and ripe juicy peaches that have been quartered, set aside. Preheat your BBQ to medium high heat. Place the chops on the hottest part of the grill and cook until seared on both sides; then move them to a cooler part of your grill and reduce heat and cook until done (145 degrees). Remove from the grill and set aside to rest. Place peaches over direct high heat and sear, turning until the cut sides are golden, approx 1-2 minutes each side. Remove from grill and plate alongside of Pork chops, drizzling with balsamic glaze and fresh chopped basil leaves before serving. Delicious served with fresh tomato and watermelon salad and a spiced rice pilaf. Enjoy!
